Soul Journal - Days 8-9

Whew! I am so far behind! Not my fault this time, though. BossMan sent me to Nebraska for a few days - I did have fun although it was a completely different world. And wow - FARM WIVES! They are the BOMB. These people eat the biggest lunch I've ever seen - and mashed potatoes and bread at every meal! Talk about heaven on earth. I am in love. But as usual, I digress...

Day 8 we had to paint our taped pages - I don't like mine AT ALL. I saw some other soul journal sisters' pages and I am horribly jealous. But I'm just going to go with the flow and hope we cover up this mess quickly because this ugliness is ruining the whole thing! Grumble.

Now on our magazine pages, again, painting on top and rubbing off and I like the way this one turned out. I used a baby blue which worked out well to soften the purple. Then I took my trusty Sharpie and drew dotted lines, broken lines, messy boxes and words on the pictures. I like the way it turned out! So that makes up for my ugly tape page.

Well kids, that's all for now - I need to prep some pages and get a whole mess of photo profile cards ready to send tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Till next time, Cheeka.

Hey Cheeka, Thanks for the comments, it happens to be today all gloomy and cold and I feel like that on the inside too, so your comments warmed my soul. Yes, digital glitter must be like I cant believe it's not butter...why bother? it's IMPORTANT to have a mess. Btw, I bought a king size bed so my dog could fit on with whomever else was going to share my bed, and sometimes he has not liked my choices... and he turned out to be 100% right. ha ha... trust your dog, hair and all.

Laugh - the dogs are ALWAYS correct 100%! I had one guy come over for the first time, and I told him, if Hank doesn't like you, you have to leave. He thought I was kidding. Silly boy. Luckily, Hank liked him. Sadly though, Hank can only detect freak, not jackass. But it was all good for a bit!

Hi Cheeka,

You guys are so funny with your dog stories.... my little Oakey always sleeps on our bed. Luckily he likes my hubby (and vice versa I suppose).

Your inchie page is wonderful. Love how you use purple!!!

Hey thanks! It's one of my most favoritist colors! And I'm intrigued by the whole incchice thang!
I used to have a dog who snored worse than a man and took up most of the bed, but the two I have now are very polite about sharing bedspace.

Your soul journal is wonderful so far! But that's not too surprising since the lady making it is wonderful herself. :)

I love how your taped pages turned out! So cool! They have so many layers and soft, yet vibrant colors. Glorious!

And I think your inchies pages came out nicely, too!

Oh! Forgot to mention that I found your blog because I'm also following Sarah Whitmire's journaling prompts. If you'd like to trade blog links, let me know! (Just click through my name and e-mail me!)

One of my favorite parts - besides working on my journal - is seeing what everyone else is creating. It is so much fun! :-)
